This is my first experience teaching in Asia. The school has an amazing group of expat teachers who are inspirational to work with. It is currently going through the process to get IB certified so things are a bit hectic and very meeting-oriented. The students here range greatly in ability but are all very wonderful, caring and enthusiastic. Class sizes are small and each class is given a full-time teacher assistant. These TAs are also very helpful in getting settled as they will go with you to places and translate as needed. The families are also very supportive and helpful. The school is going to be changing locations next year which will be a huge transition. It will be a much bigger campus but located outside of the city which will limit social activities if you want to live by the campus. The school will be providing transportation to the new campus for those that chose to stay in their current residences. I feel that there are many positives to this school but one big negative tends to over-shadow them. The administration does not seem very keen on keeping teachers. There is no real incentive to renew contracts so many amazing teachers leave after their initial contract period. Administration has been told of this and I'm hopeful that changes are in the process.
