The staff here are generally hard working and enthusiastic teachers who want to improve the school but are often hamstrung by the owner and administration. There are some opportunities for growth if the administration likes you. Admin generally do not support teachers and will often undercut them in order to save face in front of parents and supervisors. It is difficult to get resources, especially books, in China and even more so when the owner of the school refuses to pay the bills. The Salary is reasonably competitive and the housing is adequate. The students are generally well behaved and are mostly Korean, Japanese and ethnically Chinese with a smattering of other nationalities. There is a lot of bullying in the high school and students tend to stick with their own ethnic group. This is a school of great potential, if the new director can find a way to ensure the owner puts the profits of the school back into teaching and learning instead of other ventures.
