New building, new admin, new mission, and new “pet project” from the Head of GEMS as of 2017. Very very different school now. Very very few teachers and even fewer admin stuck around after the transition. That should tell you everything.

I've only been here two months, but I love this school. The Administration are honest and kind. They're supportive and help you try new things and grow as a teacher. The students are phenomenal. Kind and responsible and with a good amount of personality. They're the type that want to learn about the world and respond well to instruction. This is the kind of school you'd be lucky to end up in. Dubai itself is a modern wonder. The ability of so many people from so many places to live together in peace is a stunning accomplishment. If you like sky scrapers and modern architecture, this is the place for you. There are so many things to do, restaurants to eat at, malls to walk around and shop in, and neighborhoods to check out that you could live here your whole life and not do everything. Plus, when the weather is cooler, there are many outdoor options as well, from tons of beautiful and free beaches to dune bashing, to mountains. Dubai is also an international travel hub, you can get darn near anywhere from here with direct flights. You can get to the airport (and around the city) on a great, modern metro system, a huge number of cheap taxis, or a comprehensive bus system. This place is the real deal.
