MKIS had a very good reputation that is slowly being eroded. It is for this reason that the staff turnover is very high given low salaries and the administration. The focus is to keep parents happy and the tuition flowing in. It is a shame to have to say this, however the academic standard is not to the level of other international schools. Check the reviews before attending or accepting an offer.

Malaysia is a great place to live and travel throughout SE Asia. MKIS is a wonderful school with amazing possibility. and potential. However, it is a for profit school where the owner really does pinch his pennies and restricts growth. The owner is also not trustworthy of his employees. For example, he hired a new head of school two years ago but still has the past head of school as a consultant for decisions made for the school. The school is on a sinking ship. Many families are moving to ISKL or other international schools in the area. I would not suggest working at this school until it is taken over by new ownership.
